Safe waiting

Ceramic Installation

The installation consists of eleven raku-fired ceramic eggs placed within a hand-crafted nest. The work refers to the idea of a safe and nurturing space — a protected moment in time where life can mature and prepare to emerge into the world.

The fragile yet resilient surface of the raku-fired eggs reflects the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength inherent in the process of creation. The nest becomes both a physical and symbolic shelter, representing care, patience, and the quiet transformation that precedes growth.

Through this installation, the artist contemplates the rhythm of becoming — the stillness before movement, the silence before awakening, and the timeless cycle of renewal that connects all living things.
